FAQs

  • To book, please reserve your date online at https://soresin.co.uk/book - Select your actual wedding date & any time slot showing available. If your date is fully booked please email me and I may be able to fit you in! You will be required to fill out a short booking form and secure your place with a deposit which will be deducted from your final order.

  • Once your flowers have been received, I will email/Whatsapp to let you know that your flowers have arrived safely and re-confirm your order. At this stage I may suggest alternatives based on your flowers or this is an opportunity for you to let me know if you have a specific design in mind.

You should not expect to receive mock-up designs as I prefer to work with creative freedom due to my extensive experience with different types of flowers. Without the constraints of pre-determined mock up designs, I can adapt my creations in real-time without holding up the process. I understand what works best and how they can best be arranged.

If you would like mock-up designs this can be arranged, however please note that a fee of £25 per design will be added to your final invoice.

  • When it comes to preserving flowers it’s important to understand that the process is done 100% by hand and by one person only, however, this doesn’t mean that the preserved flowers are any less valuable or beautiful. Unlike mass-produced items, each preserved item is unique and has its own character. The process of preserving flowers involves a delicate balance of technique, experience, and artistic vision. As such, it’s almost impossible to create a perfectly uniform product. This is precisely what makes preserved flowers so special. Their imperfections and quirks make them all more unique and personal. If you decide to book it is important to embrace the handmade nature and appreciate them for what they are. You should expect the occasional bubble, uneven edges, micro-cavities and/or dust. Please don’t expect ‘perfect’ but instead appreciate its individuality, beauty and charm.

  • Once you have reserved your wedding date online, you will receive an automatic confirmation email that contains packing instructions as well as the next steps. 48 hours ahead of your wedding date you will receive a reminder email. You will be responsible for sending your flowers to me, using the packing instructions provided. If you prefer, you are welcome to hand-deliver your flowers to my studio in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. This can all be discussed in more detail after booking. Once I have your flowers, 50% of the total balance is due and I then begin the drying process. After 14-21 days I can begin the resin stage. The whole process can take anywhere between 4-8 months, but I will keep you updated as often as I’m able, within this timeframe. During busy periods this time frame could be longer. Once your order is complete, I will send you photos/videos of your item(s) and post your order via a 1st-class signed-for service with Royal Mail. Again, you are welcome to collect your items in person if you prefer.

  • If I have already carried out the drying process & your invoice has been sent and the order/cost agreed, I cannot remove items from your order, and/or offer any refunds.

If you would like to add additional items, I will need to check if there are enough flowers for your additions and will add them to your final invoice.

  • I use the highest quality casting resin which is UV stabilised and inhibits yellowing, however, all resin will take on an amber tint over a period of time. While resin may amber over time, it will take on a beautiful vintage feel and is a timeless way to display your flowers. To prolong the resin clarity it's best to display your item out of direct sunlight or away from heat such as fireplace mantels to avoid this. The sun will always win this battle! I cannot take any responsibility for resin pieces that turn yellow/amber after a short period of time as there is no way to know how much UV exposure the items were exposed to while in the client’s possession. I include care cards with all finished orders with instructions on how to properly care for your piece.

  • Please allow 4-8 months, however, this could take longer during busier periods. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond my control, this time frame could be extended. When your order is complete, I will contact you & provide a shipping update. If you need them by a specific date, please make me aware at the start of the process so I can work out if I can accommodate this for you.

  • Yes! If your order is over £300, you can pay in two 50% instalments. Once your flowers have been received, 50% of the total balance is due less your deposit) and the remainder is due in 4-6 weeks after I receive your flowers. Please note that your flowers will not be dried until the first installment has been paid and the resin stage will not commence until the final balance has been received. Fees will apply for late payments.

  • If properly cared for, your preserved flowers will last a lifetime! When you receive your finished order, I include a card with care instructions.

  • Yes! If you have flowers that are already dry they can still be preserved. Please make a note at the time of booking if this is the case so we can discuss the best size & shape options.

  • Mostly yes. Drying & preserving may change the colours slightly depending on the shade & flower type. This colour change is completely normal and is a side effect of drying. I use high-quality silica sand during the drying process which retains the shape & vibrancy of your flowers. Common changes can include:

    • Light pink can change to a soft shade of lilac

    • Dark Pink & blue can change to a shade of purple

    • Red roses change into a deep shade of burgundy - they’re very dark once placed in resin so best to be balanced out with other colours if possible.

    • White flowers are delicate and often change to an off-white/cream colour, sometimes even shades of yellow

White flowers and pastel colors sometimes turn translucent in spots once placed in resin. Some flowers dry a lot better than others, if your arrangement is all one type of flower or you have concerns over their suitability feel free to message me to discuss them. There is a possibility that the flowers may become dull over time if left in constant direct sunlight.

  • This would depend on how big your order is. A standard-size bouquet is plentiful for a large 25cm block for example however I always like to have extra to dry in case of any casualties during the drying process. We can discuss this closer to your wedding date if you are unsure.

  • In most cases, no. I will only use the best, and the right amount of flowers to fill your chosen shape without compromising the flowers and design layout. If I think there will be a lot left-over from your bouquet, you will be offered an alternative shape or the chance to add-on to your order on the day that I receive your flowers. Any flowers left over after this will be disposed of.
